Changes between the Jeopardy! CD-i game and the show:

  1. Replies are chosen one letter at a time.  When a letter is selected, an alphabetical list of possible responses is given.  The list can be narrowed down by selecting the following letter in the response.

  2. Daily Double wagers must be in multiples of 100.

  3. Up to four people can play.

  4. Charlie O'Donnell announces and reads every clue.

  5. Final Jeopardy! replies are to be written on a piece of paper.  The contestant is to state whether the final clue was answered correctly by choosing right or wrong.

The first thing you must do is select a name.  Malcolm?  There's a name from Trebek's past.

You hit the daily double!

I don't think Botulism was the name of a Bruce Springsteen album.

It's time for Double Jeopardy!

Here's the board for Round 2.

The highest value on the board--$1000.

France sounds like a good answer on this true daily double.

Indeed it is.  Notice the score went from $4900 to $9800.

You don't know the correct response?

No problem.  The game always offers the right question.

Time for Final Jeopardy!

Famous Nurses is the category.  I'll hold back a dollar for cab fare.

Was I right?  I cannot tell a lie.  I was correct.  My one-day total is $40,799 under the old board values, or $81,598 nowadays.  Eat your heart out, Ken Jennings!

One of the few times Alex Trebek is seen in the game.  He's wondering if a home version of a soon-to-be obsolete format was a good idea.
